Start the day as you please
To eat well is part of every relaxing holiday. Our rich buffet breakfast between 7.30 and 10.00 a.m. offers a variety of tea, coffee, juices, cereals, homemade jams, fruits and local cheeses, as well as cold cuts, fresh whole grain rolls, croissants, crusty bread or freshly baked cake. We also serve egg dishes, freshly made, to your taste, and accompanied by seasonal herbs and vegetables or creamy cheese and crispy bacon.
Our recommendation: stay for a whole day
Spend a day with us away from your daily routine. Start with digging into our buffet breakfast and continue by relaxing in our wellness area. Available for you from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
Lunch Snack
For your lunch break we offer small and delicious snacks, fresh salads and soups, buffet style, between 12.00 and 1.30 p.m.
For your sweet tooth
Homemade cake and traditional Austrian strudel variations as the typical afternoon snack from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. We recommend one of the famous Austrian coffee varieties or tea, cocoa or a refreshing beverage along with them.
To close the day
In the evening, from 6.00 until 7.30 p.m., we serve a 4-course culinary delight menu composed of Austrian classics and Styrian specialties, healthy dishes and delicacies with an international touch. You can choose your main course from daily offers, one of them always being a vegetarian option. All of that accompanied by a glass of Austrian wine. Children won’t miss out either - they can also get their own child-friendly 3-course menu.

From the region onto your plate
Specialties from the Nature Park Almenland
The Nature Park Almenland reveals a variety of regional delicacies. The region’s alpine oxen were the first to receive a protected brand name backed by the entire region. That is a big part of the reason why surveys show that ALMO® is Austria’s most popular beef. ALMO® is the region’s leading product and responsible for the well-maintained alpine landscape. It serves as the livelihood of countless farmers in the region and is one of our gastronomy signboards.
We truly care about working together with local farmers! Therefore, we serve and use mainly products of local Almenland farmers: bread, bacon, honey, liqueurs, vegetables, herbal teas and many more… Fresh products of the highest quality on your plates – with a distinct taste. Our guests are not only satisfied with the variety of our products but also their freshness and quality.
Our local products and farmers
- Whole-grain, spelt and rye bread produced in the Nature Park Almenland
- Fresh and smoked meat, as well as sausages and hams
- Brandies and liqueurs made of wild fruits
Almenland Honey
The Almenland Beekeper Karl Kreiner resides in Passail and has followed the beehive tradition for over 20 years. Visiting the bees, tasting different kinds of honey and other bee products, as well as glancing over Karl’s shoulder is worth a visit for the entire family.
Almenland Herbs - grown in small plots, lovingly harvested by hand and gently processed into quality products
Almenland-Tunnel Cheese
This World Champion Cheese matures in the tunnel of the former silver mine into a delicacy due to the optimal climate in the 270 meter long tunnel built into a mountain. Have a look yourself, walk inside where in the early days silver and nowadays cheese is resting – and don’t miss out on the tasting.
